As an Emmy Award winning, freelance digital film editor, filmmaker and director with over twelve years of experience, at the heart, Cara Myers is a storyteller - a passion that began with music and dance at a young age. Cara's signature is creating emotionally driven pieces that live in the heart. She continues to blaze her career path working for a wide range of clients, some of which include various advertising agencies, video production companies, corporations and independent filmmakers. She has worked for corporations such as Procter & Gamble, GE, Sprint, Pfizer, Southwest Airlines, Silpada, Hallmark, Lee Jeans, Teva Pharmaceuticals, LinkedIn, H&R Bloch, Tortoise and Mariner Wealth Advisors. Cara's credits also include editor, post-production supervisor and co-director on the nationally airing, Emmy Award Winning feature documentary "The Next American Dream" that has been enjoyed by over 10 million PBS viewers. Her work has also been seen on Project Runway. She has edited various short films and film trailers, including The Good Life starring Bill Paxton and Zooey Deschanel as well as Lenexa, 1 Mile with William Baldwin, Chris Klein, Austin Nichols and other stars. In addition she is known for telling meaningful stories for many non-profit organizations such as MOCSA, Susan G. Komen, Catholic Charities, The United Way, Operation Breakthrough and Phoenix Family Housing.
Today Cara enjoys a dynamic career as a freelance digital film editor, director, and as the head of her own full service production company, Vespera Films. She also enjoys sharing her passion for storytelling through mentoring young editors, teaching workshops, speaking, consulting and making her own independent films. Cara's latest film project, "The Angel in Red" has been distributed internationally by Gaia & Spiritual Cinema Circle
