Jeanne began working for the National Geographic Society Magazine (1979) and crossed into the Television Division (1980), which produced Television Specials on Sunday nights on CBS. She joined William Livingston Productions (1982) as writer and sound recorder on several National Geographic Educational Films and National Geographic Explorer documentaries (launched in 1985 on Nickelodeon). As Producer, Writer, Sound Recorder and still photographer, she traveled the world producing two NGS Television Specials (1992, 1995), an ABC World of Discovery Television Special (1992), and a Discovery Channel Special (1998), garnering 2 Emmys and multiple Emmy nominations, as well as dozens of film awards. She worked as a film editor, cinematographer, writer and producer at Dustlight Productions in Chico, California (2008-2013), and edited several non-fiction books and magazine articles during that time.
