Jenee Halstead
Singer/songwriter Jenee Halstead was born on October 9. The daughter of
hippie parents, Halstead grew up in Spokane, Washington. Jenee spent
her childhood exploring her grandmother's garden and singing along to
records with her father. Halstead was a member of the choir and sang
medieval choral works in middle school. She graduated from Shadle Park
High School in Spokane in 1994 and studied History-Music at the private
Catholic Jesuit school Gonzaga University in Spokane. Jenee moved from
Spokane to Seattle prior to moving again to Alaska and finally settling
down in Boston, Massachusetts in 2007. Halstead released her debut
album "The River Grace" in 2008. Her sophomore album "Hollow Bones"
followed in 2010. Jenee's third album "Raised By Wolves" was issued in
2012. She resides in Somerville, Massachusetts.
