Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Annika participated in theatre
and music camps as a child and later performed in all of her high
schools musical productions as well as became a two-time drama champion
at the state level. She attended the University of Northern Colorado
for acting and then the School for Film and Television in New York
City. She had the honor of singing with James Monroe Iglehart in the
2011 Drama League Benefit Gala which honored Patti Lupone, as well as
singing with Brian Stokes Mitchell and Norm Lewis for the 2013 Gala
which honored Audra McDonald. Annika has been seen in theatre, film,
and television around New York City as well as performing stand-up at
The Comedy Cellar.
While in high school, Annika won two state championship awards for competitive acting. She also performed the roles of Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and her personal favorite of Mme Thenardier in Les Mis.
Has worked on and off for several years with a non-profit theatre company for kids called TBA Theatre.
