Natan Kuchar
- Music Department
Natan Kuchar grew up in Sydney, Australia and started writing and
performing original music at a young age. He quickly became noticed by
the broader community in Australia, after winning multiple vocal and
writing competitions through the McDonald Performing Arts Challenge
and by performing at music festivals throughout Sydney. Natan studied
piano, trombone and voice simultaneously as he attended day school, and
was constantly awarded for his musical achievements in his writing,
performance and directing capacities as a musician. Natan's music was
nominated by the prestigious Encore Showcase to perform his original
music at the Sydney Opera House, and then went on to sing solo at
Carnegie Hall in New York and Disneyworld Florida along with his high
school wind orchestra.
In 2006, Natan moved to Boston, Massachusetts to study at the esteemed Berklee College of Music where he focused on vocal performance and contemporary writing and production for the advertising and commercial music industry. Natan's experience at college as an arranger and producer was tremendously diverse in style, content, genre, and medium. Within his portfolio, a huge range of work can be found utilizing live players, sequencing, hybrid work and a combination of ensembles and styles. Natan graduated in 2009 Magna Cum Laude and then left Massachusetts to thaw in the beautiful weather in Berkeley, California - located a little closer to home, only a 14 hour flight back to Sydney.
Natan now lives in Sydney, Australia with his wife, Lili. Most recently he has been working as an orchestrator and music copyist for Jigsaw Music and has gained a multitude of film credits.
