Top Boy, Channel 4’s urban drama based on a Hackney estate, has been recommissioned for a second four-part series.
Stripped across four consecutive nights (31 October, 1-3 November) and directed by Yann Demange, Top Boy starred Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson and showcased a dynamic line-up of new and first-time teenage actors including Malcolm Kamulete, Giacomo Mancini, Letitia Wright and Olivia Musangi.
Commenting on the recommission, Channel 4's Chief Creative Officer Jay Hunt said:
‘For me, Top Boy encapsulates everything that our drama is about: hugely original and passionate, with a brilliant roster of new talent. I'm thrilled that we'll be seeing more.'
