- Music Department
A film composer and string arranger/orchestrator Inyoung Park, a native of Korea, began her musical journey at the age of six, playing the violin and piano. Inyoung was formally trained in classical composition but began her career in Korean pop music (K-pop). Later, she expanded her presence as a film composer after studying film scoring at New York University.
As a film composer, she has worked on several films that were invited to prestigious international film festivals such as Cannes, Venice, and Berlin. One of these films, 'Pieta', won the Golden Lion Award at the 69th Venice Film Festival, and Inyoung's work on the film was also recognized at the 2012 Women in Film Korea Awards. Also, Inyoung has worked on hundreds of string and orchestral recording sessions for a wide range of Korean artists, including PSY, Lena Park, and Yong-pil Cho whose title song was No.1 on K-Pop Hot 100 on the Billboard. Her string and orchestral works have been recorded all over the world including New York, Melbourne, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Nashville, London, and Prague.
While her music is infused with inherent femininity, it is also noted for unexpected muscle and vigor. With the discipline of a consummate professional, Inyoung strikes the right note for every piece of music she creates, whether it is for a film or a pop song, making her a truly versatile artist.
Inyoung currently resides in Los Angeles and travels between Korea and LA for work. She looks forward to collaborating with directors and musicians who share her passion and commitment, regardless of culture or geographic differences.
