Michael Oakes(II)

Michael Oakes is a writer/actor/director known for Da Vinci's Dreams, his award-winning screen play, and The Jack London Story, a TV pilot script. As Artistic Director of Live Oakes Educational Theater, he has written, directed, produced, and performed a dozen historical plays, which are ready to be adapted for the screen. Mr. Oakes has toured his interactive living-history shows across the country, earning standing ovations and critical acclaim. As an Equity actor, he has performed leading roles throughout the S.F. Bay Area, receiving rave reviews in Shakespeare, musicals, contemporary drama and comedy. Michael earned an M.S. and B.S. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and graduated with honors from Stuyvesant H.S. in N.Y. He earned an acting certificate at A.C.T., and studied screenwriting with many of the best teachers in the business. He has also performed on camera in many projects (see resume), and taught on-camera acting for years.
