- After his castle is taken over, Valiant, Prince of Thule, has a dream, in which King Arthur calls him to Camelot. Valiant heeds the advice of the dream, and sets out on a quest to find the famed kingdom. Along the way, he meets two new friends, Arn (a peasant) and Rowanne (the blacksmith's daughter), who join him on his quest to become a Knight of the Round Table. After arriving in Camelot, the plot focuses on the three friends' lives, as they strive to become knights.
- While King Arthur and Queen Guinevere are away, Merlin is in charge and continues their just policies, though they are unpopular with one nobleman who approaches Morgana. She slips a potion into Merlin's drink that causes him to fall asleep...but will eventually cause death after he lingers for a day dreaming of a second chance at life with his lover, Linet. Valiant, Arn, and Rowanne look through his study for an antidote and find the name of one of his friends, "The Mighty Om", whom they approach for help. The short but clever if odd scholar concocts a potion that he says will either restore or exterminate Merlin. Rowanne tests it, but Valiant and Arn soon learn they may end up losing the woman they both love.
- Prince Valiant's father's kingdom of Thule is conquered by Cynan when King Williem orders one of his men to spare Cynan's young son, After the family is exiled and ends up living in a swamp abroad, Valiant dreams nightly of two men, Arthur and Merlin, discussing the just New Order to be established in a place called Camelot and calling him to be a knight there. He decides to journey out to find this realm to become a Knight of the Round Table and return to overthrow Cynan and reclaim his homeland.
- King Arthur sends Valiant and Gawain with a party including Arn and Rowanne near the Venecombs' land where Sir Lyman has gotten word that they wish to forge a treaty. While there, Valiant, Arn, and Rowanne gain possible evidence that someone in the nearby primitive community is plotting to assassinate King Arthur. Unable to convince those in the camp, they approach Queen Guinevere when she arrives with King Arthur the next day. She secretly lets them enter the Venecomb village undercover and learn that their former leader, now regarded among his people as a betrayer for his diplomatic ideals, has been replaced by a tyrannical one who has dark intentions. And it seems that an outsider has been encouraging and assisting him to fight.
- Arn rescues a ferry containing Valiant, Rowanne, two monks, and a group of robbers who were in the process of being stopped and flee after being pulled to land. That night, Rowanne is captured by the group and Valiant and Arn go to the local mill as ordered to negotiate with them for her release the next day. They are ambushed by Richard's men, and Valiant is caught in the water wheel. When nothing but a piece of his tunic and the Singing Sword can be found afterward, everyone believes he is dead. Arn now faces the task of convincing himself he is capable of rescuing Rowanne as well as one of the monks whose monastery is being held hostage.
- A clan of heroic night creatures pledge to protect modern New York City as they did in Scotland one thousand years earlier.
- Tom, the boy Goliath and his clan befriended 1000 years ago, arrives in Manhattan. He needs help in Avalon. Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx go with him to help and see what happened to the Gargoyle eggs.
- Goliath and Elisa meet with Princess Katherine and the Magus. They're under attack from the Archmage, Demona, MacBeth, and the Weird Sisters. Elisa knows they'll need more allies in the up coming fight. She goes to wake a human who's been on the island for a long time.
- The Sleeping King has been awakened. Goliath and all his allies fight the Archmage, Demona, MacBeth and three of Auberon's children.
- The World Tourists arrive in Prague to find Halcyon Renard taking desperate measures to preserve his life with the use of a golem over the objections of its young controller.
- The World Tourers come to Egypt where they find a grieving Emir plotting to enslave the death god, Anubis.
- The world tour continues on Queen Florence Island off the west coast of Canada. Where the group encounters a sea monster that separates the group. Goliath and Angela encounter some Gargoyles, and Elisa meets with the locals. The local Haida shaman tries to convince her grandson that their legends are true. Meanwhile the native gargoyles try to convince Goliath and Angela the humans destroyed the gargoyles in the area.
- The World Tourists come to Britain only to be accosted by English gargoyles who blame Goliath for the disappearance of a clanmate in World War II.
- Elisa seems to be running a protection racket for some reason.
- Matt Bluestone finally confronts a member of the Illuminate who offers him membership if he delivers to them one of the gargoyles his partner is hiding.
- The World Tour begins at the original site of Castle Wyvern. There's more than old memories waiting for Goliath at his ancestral home.
- The Mutates, burning for revenge against the clan, return while Goliath decides to strong measures to find a cure for them with the unwilling aid of Dr. Sevarius.
- While Goliath considers a new second in command, Xanatos and Fox manipulate the Clan and the Pack as pawns of a friendly game of wits.
- Elisa is almost run off the road by something resembling Goliath, but he was occupied at the time. The culprit leads to a project sponsored by Xanatos. Goliath, Xanatos and Sevarius face a creation that seems to have inherited their best characteristics.
- In Paris, Elisa spots Macbeth, he's about to be married. Elisa recognizes his bride-to-be, and realizes the groom has to learn about his future wife's secret before it's too late.
- The world tour continues in Japan. Where they encounter a whole clan of Gargoyles. Unlike Goliath's clan, these gargoyles are know in the village they protect. One person wants to expose the gargoyles to the entire world, in the form of an amusement park.
- The World Tourists arrive at Elisa's sister school in Arizona and must help her and their father help the mystic Coyote from being captured by Xanatos.
- The travelers end up in the arctic circle where a man tries to trade them blankets, other survival items for the Eye of Odin. They soon realize it really is Odin, Goliath uses the Eye to fight Odin. The power soon goes to Goliath's head.
- Elisa is temporarily assigned a new partner and get switched to day shift. She asks the gargoyles to watch over some warehouses the thieves might try to hit next. Hunters appear and attack the gargoyles.
- The World Tourists return to Avalon in time to help the island's clan face the return of the Fae Lord Oberon.
