- Burleigh ran into Julian Schnabel in the lobby of the legendary American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem while on assignment for Time, covering the West Bank settlers in 2009. Schnabel, learning she was an actual journalist, asked her to sit opposite Frieda Pinto in the courtyard, and play a journalist in his recreation of a famous real-life scene at the same hotel during the Israeli-Paelstinian peace negotiations.
