Born in the Manila, Philippines and raised in South Florida, David Merrill started Film/Video at the age of 11. He started to create small shorts with family and friends, then gradually advancing into the filmmaking process when attending the school, Calvary Christian Academy in South Florida.
His Senior year of High School he wrote and directed the short film, "Picturesque", which won Audience Award and 2nd Place for Best Picture at the Palm Beach International Film Festival Student Showcase. He also won Filmmaker of the Year at the CCA Film Festival for his two films, Picturesque and a documentary following his school's lacrosse team. He recently won 1st Place for Best Sports Feature for his film, "One Last Ride: A PBA Lacrosse Story" at the BEA Festival of Media Arts.
Ever since then he has been making Award-Winning Narratives, Commercials, and Documentaries. He is most known for his films, Talking to Her, One Last Ride: A PBA Lacrosse Story, IBC Root Beer: Life of the Party, and Driven: A PBA Lacrosse Story.
