Miranda Troynar is a Melbourne based writer/director whose short films
have screened at numerous festivals around the world. In 2010 Miranda
completed a Graduate Diploma of Film and Television (narrative stream)
at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Her graduating
short film Goodbye Hello was selected to be screened on opening night
of the VCA Film and Television Graduate Screenings and was nominated
for the Best Achievement in Comedy Award. It has since been screened at
New York City International Film Festival, Cannes Short Film Corner
2011, Canterbury Short Film Festival, Oceanside International Film
Festival, and received an Honorary Award of Merit from the Lucerne
International Film Festival for quality, excellence and skills.
Miranda has also worked on a number of corporate gigs and film shoots as part of the production team in a variety of technical/organisational roles.
Before filmmaking, Miranda completed an Arts degree with First Class Honours in Drama. She has performed in various theatre productions as well as writing and directing a number of short plays which were performed at La Mama Theatre in Melbourne.
