I've always enjoyed entertaining people, but it wasn't until I was 16 that I decided to be an actor. I would like to say that I was inspired by
Marlon Brando's work in
The Godfather (1972) or
Robert De Niro's powerful performance as Jake La Motta in
Raging Bull (1980). I would, however, be lying. The movie that influenced me the most was
Dumb and Dumber (1994). I remember watching
Jim Carrey on screen and thinking "that looks like an awesome job. I could probably do that". It was the first time that I had ever watched an actor in a movie and thought of acting as a "job". After spending the remainder of my high school years performing in school plays and attending drama classes, I left my home town and made my way to the big city to act my little heart out.
