A local Alabama newspaper is raising eyebrows after running an editorial from its publisher calling for the Ku Klux Klan to “ride again.”
“Time for the Ku Klux Klan to night ride again,” the Feb. 14 editorial in the local Democrat-Reporter read. “Seems like the Klan would be welcome to raid the gated communities [in Washington]. They call them compounds now. Truly they are the ruling class.”
The piece went on to criticize D.C. politicians for “plotting to raise taxes in Alabama” and accused national Democrats of leading the United States into unnecessary wars.
