Born Mojca Brecelj in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Moica was raised in
Slovenia. She finished high school with hopes of becoming a musician.
She founded a series of bands including The Twins, which won the
national song contest Slovenska Popevka (2000). The winning song was
called The Voice of Heart (2000) which was also the title of the first
album Moica ever recorded. The Twins then toured Slovenia, made
appearances also in Austria and started planning an international
career when suddenly they broke up.
Moica went on with a solo music career and made a solo album called One More Time (2003). She graduated from a business college in 2005 to receive an entrepreneurship diploma. Since she always had passion for film she decided to go to America and back to back studied directing (2008) and acting (2009). To get a deeper insight into music production she also studied music production (2008).
In 2010, after making a few short films while being in America (2009), she went back home and took part in a documentary shot by filmmakers all over the world Life In A Day (2011) and directed by Kevin Macdonald. She got selected as co-director and actor out of 80.000 contributors.
