Amanda Hopewell

Amanda Hopewell is a British author, writer, director, composer, music artist and designer. She is known for her unique writing style and alternative approaches to writing, her signature voice and creativity. She co-wrote the psychological suspense novel, He Walks Past My House, as Valentine & Hopewell and this was the first novel to be written live on social media. She had a number 1 single in the Top 50 Electro-House Charts and her music featured at number 2 in the Top 50 DJ Mix Show Charts, number 6 in the Top 50 Charts and Top 50 Dance Charts with Masspool DJ Association. Her self-penned songs have been featured on music samplers, albums and compilations around the world and she has performed internationally at events and festivals. She has performed twice at the British Embassy in Berlin on the same stage as Robbie Williams and many other famous artists. She represented the UK at the Brasilia International Music Festival, Italian Television and her music has been featured on DJ sets around the world.
Amanda has written music with Jan Pulsford (aka aTHeNa BLue - Jan produced and wrote 5 platinum selling Cyndi Lauper albums, and was a former member of the 80s group The Thompson Twins) They co-wrote the song Love You.
Amanda has an MA in theatre: Writing, Directing & Performance from the University of York, a first-class BA (hons) degree in Drama and Performance from the University of Wolverhampton and was awarded the drama department prize for highest overall academic achievement. She achieved the certificate in social sciences and social policy from the Open University, a diploma in professional interior design from the National Design Academy, a PGCE in lifelong learning from the University of Huddersfield and completed a teaching placement at York College where she was graded outstanding in all areas.
She won the heat of Script Factor with her play, 'Married 24 Hours' and went through to the all winners final at the York Theatre Royal with her comedy, 'Audrey's Perfect Party.'
Amanda has a passion for writing in all its forms and some of her plays have been staged at the York Theatre Royal. She specialised in writing for her masters degree, and has published a book of plays and a book of poetry.
