Michael Bianco is a Film Composer, Singer/Songwriter, Producer and
Actor. He lives in central London, where he plays several venues both
solo and with his band, the "Mike Bianco's Band". He works as a
freelance composer, songwriter and producer and collaborates with
singer songwriters such as Christine Bovill, Fran Clark, Allan Cuevas,
Barbara Arhins and others. Since Michael moved to the Uk in April 2010,
he immediately started composing original orchestral score music, he
has scored a number of shorts, and is a regular colleague of
Francesco Bori. He is currently working
on the score of the feature films
Red Hook Black (2011) by
Luis Landivar (Land Varied International)
for whom he is also producing the soundtrack album; Sidetracked (2015)
by Francesco Bori (in which he also plays
the lead) and a short film by Kehinde Fadipe called Spirit Children
(2010). Raised in an artistic family, his father
(Vittorio Bianco) is a musician and his
mother (Manuela Blanchard) is an actress, he started showing artistic
tendencies at a very early age. At age 8 Michael studied drums with
Italian drumming legend
Tullio De Piscopo for two years,
performed at theaters and on a children's TV show named Solletico and
on Disney Channel. He also acted in the most famous Italian TV show for
kids Bim Bum Bam. At the age of 18 he received his singer's diploma at
the prestigious "Nuovaadio Musicmedia" school in Milan with a grade of
9.5 out of 10. During his studies at Nuovaadio Musicmedia he also
studied Piano Techniques for self-accompanist singers in pursuit of
perfecting his musical talents. In October 2003 Michael won a regional
competition for songwriters, Malgrate Festival (Lake Como), with the
song titled "Sei Tu" and produced his first album "Tales" writing all
the songs. In his continued success Michael won a 7000$ a year
scholarship at the world renowned Umbria Jazz Festival in July 2004
which would further his musical studies at the world famous Berklee
College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. While attending Berklee
College he was honored with the "Best Contemporary Writing and
Production Student" scholarship. Michael was selected to perform a
piece, which he wrote and arranged, at the Berklee Performance Center,
an Honor not held by many. In May 2007 he graduated in Contemporary
Writing and Production, magna cum laude. Then, at the age of 22 Michael
moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked for a publishing &
production company called DSP Productions. He produced his second album
titled "Freedom To Believe" and worked with singer/songwriter Rocio
Soleil and with songwriters Beth Dorn and David Lipton. He also played
keyboard with the band Honeysmash. In August 2008 He went back to Italy
where he produced his third Album called "The Last Day" with a famous
Italian Singwriter/Producer Mino Vergnaghi
(Giorgia, Zucchero,
Il Divo) and played at Italian president Silvio
Berlusconi's Christmas dinner in front of 5000 people. In 2010, After
composing seven soundtracks for "Attaccastorie" and writing the
campaign song "Uno di noi" for the Lombardia region's president Roberto
Formigoni, aired on several Italian radios, Michael moved to the UK
where he resides and works.
