Sports Illustrated‘s stunning mass layoffs Friday, which cast doubt on the future of the 70-year-old media stalwart, have prompted waves of emotional reaction across social media.
The Arena Group told the entire staff their jobs were being eliminated after Authentic Brands Group, which licenses the Si name, suspended that license to publish due to a missed payment of about $3.75 million.
It isn’t yet clear what the ultimate fate of Si will be, but it has been thrown into uncertainty. Sports Illustrated Union and The NewsGuild of New York issued a statement vowing to fight for the workers. “We have fought together as a union to maintain the standard of this storied publication that we love, and to make sure our workers are treated fairly for the value they bring to this company. It is a fight we will continue,” Mitch Goldich, NFL editor and unit chair at The NewsGuild of New York said.

A while back we told you about a new horror film that features the dreaded Octomom herself, Nadya Suleman, and now it looks as if the project is getting ready to come to term. Ready for a look at the first teaser one-sheet? You're a brave one, ain't ya?
Nadya Suleman and her giant-sized uterus are breaking into Hollywood by taking on the role she was born to play - a woman impregnated by a demon.
The low-budget horror film entitled Millennium stars the octomom and her hallowed vagina, who together play a woman named Vanessa - a chick who visits a haunted house with her friend Brad and his date Jessica. The only hitch? Jessica's a demon. Yay!
You can't wait, right? Right? *crickets*

A bloodied Octomom came dangerously close to slitting her own throat recently -- but thankfully, it was all just a stunt for her new low budget horror movie. TMZ broke the story ... Nadya Suleman scored her first acting gig for a fright flick directed by Kevin Clark and Manzie Jones called " Millennium " -- in which she plays a woman impregnated by a demon -- and now, we've obtained the first teaser ... starring Octomom herself. There are no words.
