Things are looking great for the Latvian horror film Hybrid Vigor. Not only did it actually exceed its Kickstarter goal (wow!), it was also named Indiewire's Project of the Week. Nicely done!
Written and directed by Brandon Fowler, who relocated from Los Angeles to Latvia to continue his filmmaking career (yes, you read that right), Hybrid Vigor stars Velta Buka, Jevgenija Mirosnicenko and Aleksandr Ivanov with more casting news coming soon. The indie project was celebrated as Indiewire's Project of the Week and certainly looks to be gaining steam.

We at Mubi think that celebrating the films of 2010 should be a celebration of film viewing in 2010. Since all film and video is "old" one way or another, we present Out of a Past, a small (re-) collection of some of our favorite of 2010's retrospective viewings.
