Events
The Paramount+ Movie Nights series will return to New York this summer with over 25 free, outdoor screenings. Paramount+ will also be the official sponsor of Bryant Park Movie Nights, the longest running outdoor movie series in New York City, and Brooklyn Magazine’s Movie Nights, now at four parks across Brooklyn including Coney Island.
The showings are open to the public and boast free admissions. Locations and dates are as follows:
Bryant Park: Monday nights – June 10 through Aug. 12
McCarren Park: June 7, 14 and 28
Prospect Park: June 26; July 3, 10 and 17
Coney Island: July 11, 18 and 25; Aug. 1 and 8
Fort Greene Park: Aug. 15, 22 and 29; Sep. 5
Select screenings will also offer themed food and beverages for free and and for purchase. Onsite activations including interactive games and photo opportunities will also be available at select showings.

Exclusive: Main Event Media, the production company behind Peacock’s Punky Brewster reboot and Netflix dating format Dated and Related, which it co-produced Great Scott Media, with is moving to Religion of Sports with an exclusive production deal.
The deal sees the company move from All3Media, where it was previously housed, having been launched by former Objective Media exec Jimmy Fox in 2017.
Main Event Media will now be a production label under Religion of Sports, which was founded by Tom Brady, Michael Strahan and Gotham Chopra.
It will serve as Religion of Sports pop culture arm. Main Event also produces series such as United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell for CNN, Netflix true-crime doc Girl in the Picture, YouTube’s Defying Gravity: The Untold Story of Women’s Gymnastics, HBO Max’s Sweet Life: Los Angeles and Nickelodeon competition series Top Elf.

OWN announced Richard Roundtree and Terri J. Vaughn have joined the second season of romantic anthology drama, “Cherish The Day.”
Roundtree and Vaughn will be joining the cast in recurring roles. Roundtree is set to occur as Mandeville “Mv” St. James, a proud, loving, wry-humored former judge and widowed father of Sunday, played by Joy Bryant. Vaughn will recur as Anastasia, Ellis’ (Henry Simmons) soon-to-be ex-wife and the mother of their children.
“Cherish The Day” is an anthology series that chronicles the relationship of one couple, with each episode spanning a single day.
The first season of “Cherish The Day” starred Xosha Roquemmore, Alano Miller and Cicely Tyson, and debuted in Feb. 2020. During its seven-week first season, the series ranked No. 1 in its time period across all cable networks with Black women, households and total viewers.
