Dr. Rafael Medoff is director of The David S. Wyman Institute for
Holocaust Studies, which focuses on America's response to the
Holocaust. Of his books the most recent is titled 'FDR and the
Holocaust: A Breach of Faith', as well as co-authored with David S.
Wyman, is A Race Against Death: Peter Bergson, America, and the
Holocaust (The New Press, 2002). He has authored 15 books on Holocaust,
Zionism, American Jewish history. He has also written many articles and
gives lectures on these subjects.
Dr. Medoff received his PhD from Yeshiva University in 1991, was the Visiting Scholar in Jewish Studies at the State University of New York at Purchase in the year 2001.
Dr. Medoff has taught Jewish History in Ohio State University, Purchase College of the State University of New York amongst others.
