Ryan "R.L." Terry, M.A. is a producer, cinema and theme park researcher, film critic, and published author in Tampa, Florida. He shows a strong passion for the visual and performing arts and is an advocate for supporting local artists, whether they are fellow filmmakers, musicians, authors, or singers. Holding a Master's of Art in Mass Comm/Media Studies (with a concentration in cinema and theme park research) from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Film Studies and Production (with a concentration in producing) from Southeastern University, he has demonstrated the ability to successfully pair his scholarly knowledge with his technical knowhow. Being a producer requires critical thinking and the ability to structure the art of cinema in such a way that the direction can thrive within his or her environment. His top two favorite moves are "Jurassic Park" and "Sunset Boulevard." You will often find him hanging out in the theme parks of Central Florida or at the movies nearly every week. One of his favorite quotes and the quote that he had on the top of his cap at his Master's graduation is "The greatest art is the art of storytelling" (C.B. DeMille). As he enjoys connecting with fellow filmmakers and others that appreciate cinema, theme parks, and entertainment in general, he always welcomes visitors and new followers on his blog and Instagram. If you would like to read his book entitled "On the Convergence of Cinema and Theme Parks: Developing a Predictable Model for Creative Design," you can find it on Amazon.
