Rob Tari is a Canadian Writer, Director and Producer. He founded Turtle Studios in 2011. The production company strives to make unique films featuring unforgettable characters, exciting stories and state of the art technology.
Tari has won acclaim from both viewers and critics alike when he burst onto the Canadian film market with his directorial debut "Soul Mates", which he also wrote and produced. The film took home the "Most Popular Film Screened" at the 2013 Vaughan Multimedia Film Festival.
2015 saw the release of the Tari's most ambitious feature to date - "Us." Blending both live-action and animation, the film is a unique coming of age tale of friendship and finding one's self. The film made it's Canadian Premiere at the "2015 Toronto Independent Film Festival," where it played to a sold out audience and rousing success. Us went on to be featured in both the Windsor International Film Festival and Los Angles Cinefest respectfully.
Tari's newest film "A Man Named Death" made it's debut at the 2023 Toronto Independent Film Festival, where it won the Audience award for "Best Short Film." It was also awarded the "Merit Award" by the 2023 Canada Shorts Film Festival.
In 2024, the film traveled internationally securing official selections in the Tokyo International Film Festival, Beyond Hollywood International Film Festival and New York CineFest where it was also nominated for Best Comedy Short.
