“Project Runway” season 18 is almost over, and all that’s left is for the remaining designers to present their final collections at New York Fashion Week. But after the final four presented the judges with samples from their collections in “Finale, Part 1,” has anything changed in our odds? Fans have been placing their bets in our predictions center. Check out their complete forecasts here.
Geoffrey Mac is still the front-runner for the grand prize with leading odds of 47/50 as of this writing. He has been out front since he won his second design challenge in “Live and Let Tie Dye.” The judges had mixed feelings about his preview pieces in last week’s penultimate episode, but all four finalists got mixed reviews to varying degrees, and he has a distinct artistic voice with a futuristic bent that has the potential to wow the panelists if it’s refined well enough.

There are six designers left on “Project Runway,” and they seem evenly matched — five out of the six have won design challenges, and four of them are tied at two wins apiece. But looking back on the history of the show indicates that the likeliest winners might be Victoria Cocieru and Sergio Guadarrama. Here’s why.
SEESergio Guadarrama’s ‘Project Runway’ Designs, Ranked Worst to Best
First, no designer has won “Project Runway” after being eliminated from the show. And that’s the case for two of the remaining designers. Marquise Foster was eliminated in “Project Runway X Ashley Longshore” and brought back the next week after Dayoung Kim left the competition for health reasons. Then Brittany Allen was eliminated in “Suit Yourself,” but Christian Siriano used his first ever Siriano Save to keep her around. The good news for Allen is that four out of the five designers who...

When Nancy Volpe-Beringer was announced as a contestant for “Project Runway” season 18 at age 64, she made history as the show’s oldest designer ever. I honestly wasn’t sure how far she’d make it in the competition, since the winners skew young and fashion is all about what’s modern and now. But she has made it to the top seven, though I don’t think she’s quite gotten the credit she deserves from the judges or her fellow designers. Click above to see how we rank all of her looks so far from worst to best.
See‘Project Runway’ Season 18: Best Looks
After nine challenges, Volpe-Beringer is one of just two designers remaining who hasn’t won a challenge yet, along with Delvin McCray. I myself would probably have given her the win for her “Ultimate Upcycle” look with its backwards shirt and denim skirt created by reconstructing clothes from Goodwill,...

The field has been cut in half on “Project Runway All Stars” this season, and the judges seem to have very carefully curated their top seven. Every single one of them has won at least one design challenge over the last eight weeks, while the seven eliminated contestants received just two high scores from the judges — combined. But they can’t so easily separate the best from the rest anymore. Someone who has won a design challenge is going home tonight, so who will it be?
The users who have entered their predictions at Gold Derby are actually betting on a surprise ouster: Evan Biddell, who gets leading odds of 23/10 of being sent home. His elimination would be unusual for two reasons. First of all, he has yet to get a single low score from the judges, and there is only one other designer for whom that is still the case (Dmitry Sholokhov). Second,...

Django Steenbakker was eliminated from “Project Runway All Stars” last week after landing in the judges’ bottom three for several challenges. But now that he’s gone, who’s next? Of the eight remaining competitors there are only two left who have yet to win a design challenge. One of them has never gotten a low score (Evan Biddell), while the other has never gotten a high score (Cynthia Hayashi). Perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s the low-scorer we’re expecting to exit the competition tonight.
Hayashi hasn’t really had a disastrous run this season on “All Stars.” Out of the first seven challenges, she only got low scores twice: in the season premiere episode, and then in “Of Corsets Fashion.” But every other week she has simply been declared safe, and seven challenges is a long way to go without being singled out for judges’ praise even once. So most...

“Project Runway” has always been an international affair, with contestants originating from all over the world. But this seventh and final Lifetime season of “Project Runway All Stars” is an especially global affair. Half of the contestants are past winners from the show’s foreign spin-offs. But those foreign contenders have been dropping like flies. Can the remaining contestants rebound, or will they quickly be deported?
There have been four eliminations over the first five weeks of the competition, and three of them have been international designers: Sunny Fong (Canada) in “Top of the Class,” Jasper Garvida (UK) in “Of Corsets Fashion” and Juli Grbac (Australia) in “On the Prowl.” The one American sent home thus far was actually a big surprise: Seth Aaron Henderson, who had won not one but two past seasons of “Runway.”

Almost everyone in this champions edition of “Project Runway All Stars” has had ups and downs in the first four episodes of the competition. From week to week you can’t count on anyone being safe. But so far there have been three designers who have escaped the judges wrath: Evan Biddell, Dmitry Sholokhov and Michelle Lesniak. Is one of them the front-runner to win?
The champions in this season’s cast come from the American iterations of “Runway” as well as its international spin-offs. Sholokhov won two American seasons: “Runway” season 10 and “All-Stars” season 4. Lesniak won American “Runway” season 11. And Biddell represents our neighbor to the north: he won Canadian “Runway” season 1.

Biddell’s only high score of the season so far actually came for a design in which he paid tribute to his Canadian heritage, creating a look with a Mountie motif.

It’s corsets, of course! One week after the “Project Runway All Stars” season seven contestants tackled their unconventional materials challenge in “Buckle Up!” they got another unconventional challenge of sorts. In “Of Corsets Fashion” the 12 remaining designers turned underwear into outwear by making runway looks out of corsets. Who cinched up a win, and who wore out their welcome? Scroll down for our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.
Last week’s “Buckle Up” challenge ended in the surprising elimination of Seth Aaron Henderson in 13th place. Every “All Stars” contestant this season is a past winner, but Henderson was undefeated, winning both of the seasons he previously competed in. The fact that he could be ejected so soon means no one is safe in this competition.

It’s tough to predict eliminations this early on “Project Runway All Stars.” Every contestant this season is a past champion, and for every design challenge the slate is wiped clean, so one week’s low scorer could be next week’s challenge winner. And one week’s high scorer could be next week’s eliminated contestant. In fact, that’s exactly what has happened for the last two weeks of the competition. But this week the consensus of Gold Derby users who have entered their forecasts in our predictions center is that Cynthia Hayashi is in trouble. Do you agree?
Hayashi won season one of Brazil’s version of “Project Runway,” called “Projeto Fashion.” But she had a low score right out of the gate in the season premiere of “All Stars” — not a great first impression. However, she was safe in weeks two and three, so for the...

If the stakes on this final all-champions edition of “Project Runway All Stars” weren’t clear enough, they were by the end of episode three, “Buckle Up,” when Seth Aaron Henderson was shockingly ousted in 13th place. This was Henderson’s third time competing on “Runway” and the first time he has ever been eliminated because he won his last two outings: “Runway” season seven and “All Stars” season three. If he could be sent home so soon, no one is safe.
“Buckle Up” was an unconventional materials challenge, and the task was for designers to create looks using items associated with air travel. Henderson used safety belts, but the design got away from him. He didn’t transform the materials imaginatively enough — it looked like just a dress made of seat belts to the judges — and the silhouette wasn’t especially flattering to his model. It was a close...

None of Project Runway All Stars‘ remaining 13 designers were thrilled by the announcement of an unconventional materials challenge on Wednesday’s episode, but they channeled their inner Tim Gunn and made it work — for the most part.
Always the bearer of good news, host Alyssa Milano assembled the baker’s dozen of contestants on a Southwest plane, where she explained this week’s challenge: Repurpose flight-related items into a “glamorous look for modern-day air travel.” Additionally, they would have to recycle seat leather into an accessory for their garment.

It’s only week three of “Project Runway All Stars,” but it’s already time for an unconventional materials challenge, in which the contestants will design for the friendly skies. But “Buckle Up!” should be no sweat for a cast full of past “Runway” champions, right? Find out below in our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.
Last week’s “Top of the Class” challenge ended with the elimination of Canadian “Runway” champ Sunny Fong, leaving 13 contestants in the running for the world title. Dmitry Sholokhov won the season premiere challenge, and then Anthony Ryan Auld recovered from his rough start by winning in “Class.” That means the American “Runway” champs are two-for-two, while the international winners are aiming to strike back.

It was the worst of times, it was the best of times for “Project Runway All Stars” contestant Anthony Ryan Auld. In the season seven premiere he struggled with the recent loss of his grandmother and produced a slapdash look that nearly got him eliminated right out of the gate. But he made an epic comeback in the second week of competition. What did you think of his performance in “Top of the Class“? Was it grade-a for you like it was for the judges?
Luckily for Auld there was no elimination in the season premiere, so while he and Anya Ayoung-Chee finished as the bottom two, they both lived to design another day. But the second challenge got off to a rough start for Auld too. The contestants were tasked with creating a graduation party look in two colors. The designers didn’t get to choose their colors, though.

“Project Runway All Stars” started its seventh and final season on Lifetime last week, and it was a rare reality competition episode that ended with more contestants than it started with. “Project Runway All Stars” season seven began last Wednesday, January 2, and Dmitry Sholokhov got off to a good start, winning the first challenge: designing a look inspired by the contestants’ home countries. Is he well on his way to winning the whole competition? He competed in two previous seasons of “Runway,” winning both times.
Of course, this is a “Champions” edition of “All Stars,” in which all 14 contestants have won a previous season of “Project Runway” here and around the world, but Sholokhov is one of only two contestants in this year’s lineup who has won twice: he prevailed in season 10 of the original “Project Runway” series, and again in season 4 of “All Stars.” So it might seem like par for the course for him to win a design challenge, but this is actually his earliest success in his entire history on the show.

Anthony Williams won season six of “Project Runway All Stars” on April 5. He had contended on season seven of the main show but only made it to fifth place then. His win got us to wondering whatever happened to the designer who was crowned the winner of that edition of “Project Runway” as well as those who have walked away with the title in the other 15 seasons to date presided over by Emmy winners Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn.
The lucky seventh winner of “Project Runway” was Seth Aaron Henderson, who went on to win again in the third season of “Project Runway All Stars.” Two other winners of the original show — Dmitry Sholokhov (season 10), and Dom Streater (season 12) — prevailed again in seasons four and five of the “All Star” version.

Third time proved to be the charm for Anthony Williams when he won season 6 of “Project Runway All Stars” on April 5. The Atlanta, Georgia native had first competed on season 7 of the main show in 2010, where he placed fifth. He then contended in the first season of “All Stars” in 2012 and placed ninth.
Williams’ win was even more impressive, given that he was going up against two designers — Fabio Costa and Stanley Hudson — who had done much better than him in their previous appearances on this reality competition franchise. Costa had been the runner-up on season 10 of the main show and placed fifth on season four of “All-Stars.” And Hudson had been third on season 11 of “Project Runway.”

Anthony Williams won season six of “Project Runway All Stars” at the end of the finale episode, “Making Fashion History,” on April 5. But how does he compare to the history of “All Stars” winners? Scroll down to vote in our poll at the bottom of this post.
For Williams, the third time was the charm. He originally competed in season seven of the original “Project Runway” series back in 2010. He was eliminated in seventh place, but then brought back after another contestant withdrew from the competition. Ultimately, he ended that season in fifth place. Then he took part in the first ever season of “All Stars” in 2012, but that didn’t go any better for him: he was sent home in ninth place. So he had a lot to prove stepping into the “Runway” workroom for the third time this year. And he certainly proved it, defeating two other finalists...

If it were up to us, "Project Runway" would never be "out," it would just play on a loop 24/7/365.
Sadly, Season 14 will say auf wiedersehen on Thursday, November 5th, so now seems like a good time to take stock and rank the previous 13 seasons, with the expectation that the 2015 season will probably fall somewhere in the middle of the pack once it's done. (Tim Gunn "hated" Season 14, but there have been worse.) Every season of PR is a precious, unique little rhinestone, but, like the judges, we have our favorites -- and now it's Our turn to be biased.
So here's our very subjective but still definitive worst-to-best ranking, which may only be challenged by a glare from Nina Garcia, an eye roll from Michael Kors, a "make it work" from Tim Gunn, or an "out" from Heidi Klum.

"Project Runway All Stars" has crowned it's champion of fashion. After the three finalists, Seth Aaron, Elena and Korto, presented collections based on each of their heritages, there was a clear winner for the judges.
Before the designers got to show off their work, they were thrown a bit of a curve ball in the form of colorful scarves. Each had to use one as part of one of their designs, which worked to varying degrees of success. Seth Aaron had the most luck, weaving it into a dress design.
The judges had nice things to say to everyone, though there were also some issues that needed to be addressed. Elena had some definite fitting problems with her designs and, while the upper half of her work looked fantastic, the judges weren't too impressed by te lack of attention to detail on the bottom half.

Korto was deemed the most inventive of the three,...

Is it just me or has this short season of Project Runway All Stars actually seemed pretty long? Maybe it's Alyssa Milano's robotic hosting or maybe it's the lame challenges or maybe it's Seth Aaron's guy-liner. Anyway, I'm glad this mess will be wrapping up tonight. Let's hope Seth Aaron, Korto, and Elena's collections are less disappointing than this season.

A familiar face returns as the designers are challenged with another competition that features many twists and turns — but who will be in and who will be out?
Host Alyssa Milano introduces a familiar face to the designers: Nina Garcia of Marie Claire and Project Runway judge! Having recently become a part of editorial platform HallofStyle.com, Nina asks the contestants to pair up with a blogger featured on the website to showcase a trend for 2014. Several twists make up this challenge; not only will the bloggers be the designers’ models, but in the look they must incorporate Pantone’s color for 2014, radiant orchid. The winning look will be endorsed by Nina in a video that will appear on Hall of Style’s home page that will be viewed by the websites some fifty million subscribers. The winner will also receive a prize package from Pantone worth over $10,000! Not too shabby.

The designers have to craft a red carpet look in less than a day — but it quickly turns into a red carpet nightmare!
The designers are swept away from New York City to QVC’s headquarters in Westchester, Pa — via helicopter no less! Upon arriving, they are greeted by host and QVC correspondent Lisa Robertson. She asks them to design a gown for her that looks just as good on camera as it does in person, and will allow her to move freely during red carpet interviews. The winning look will be worn by her in a live broadcast, and a version of the dress will be sold on QVC — what a great prize this week! After a quick tour of the studios, the designers are left to sketch and then fly back to New York. As the designers figure out their gowns, they all seem to be creating the...

Eliza Coupe may have found her next series following Happy Endings (admittedly, I was hoping she might return to Community). She is set to star in Benched, a USA comedy pilot about a woman who goes from working in corporate law to being a public defender.
The Doctor Who 50th anniversary special will be shown in theaters in 3D, including screens in the USA. Unfortunately, it looks like the specifics haven’t been settled, so we’ll all have to wait to find out if its going to be shown on the big screen in our city.

They may have lost Project Runway last night to Seth Aaron Henderson, but second- and third-place finishers Emilio Sosa and Mila Hermanovski seem to have gained some respect for one another since shooting their contentious season. In a Movieline interview with the opinionated duo, Mila and Emilio discussed disagreeing with Tim Gunn and Michael Kors, snipes from less "mature" contestants, and the state of their tensions (which I may have aggravated after Emilio noted that he hadn't watched the finale because he doesn't have cable, and I informed him that Mila called his final line "Harlem in 1994").

Seth Aaron Henderson's "Project Runway" finale collection was bold, but he didn't really expect it to cause controversy, much less make people think he sympathized with Nazis.
The designer's final collection was inspired by Russian and German military uniforms of the 1940s, which many Zap2it readers found offensive, identifying those uniforms with the horrifying historical events that occurred in Europe at the time.
"I have absolutely no love for that party whatsoever," he reassured Zap2it Friday (April 23). "But through my life here, I've met tons of people, Germans that lived through it and they've shared their stories. They said it was horrible times. The point is a statement is what I drew from it. So their points were they were terrible people, but you knew when they were there. Even though they're gone and it's over, they're still there."

Sosa had a pretty narcissistic attitude throughout the season, so it's no surprise that he took placing second pretty hard. Following a nail-biting finale against competitors Mila Hermanovski and Emilio Sosa, Seth Aaron Henderson was declared Project Runway's season seven champion. His Bryant Park collection comprised the cold and the carnivalesque. Leathers, plaids, Harlequin prints, and military jackets dominated his presentation, adding up to an explosive palette and hell of an opening statement on fashion's biggest stage. Movieline caught up with Seth Aaron this morning to discuss his big win, making Tim Gunn get on a trampoline, and what he's going to do with the strangest part of his earnings.
