- Tara Beier is an actress, filmmaker and singer-songwriter. Most recently she played Buffy Sainte-Marie in the short film "Covered" which won Best Experimental in The Imagine Native Film Festival 2014. She has been published in Empirical Magazine, California "Tara B. Helps To Reveal the Beauty of Diversity" and PopMatters deems her "One of a Kind in Canadian Indie Rock" reminiscent of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. Since the age of 6 she played classical piano and holds her Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University. She is also known for directing the the doc short, "I Met A Man From Burma", which formed part of the "Free Burma" Campaign which premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival-Reel Causes.
