Matt Palka began acting in high school musicals at Otsego High School
in Ohio. While still a junior high school honors student, he studied
theater at nearby Bowling Green State University and performed in the
University's productions. He continued acting at Ohio University and
graduated from their Professional Actor Training Program. After
graduation he moved from Ohio to California on his bicycle with just
$600 and a guitar. He wrote a novel and soundtrack about that adventure
which was likened to Kerouac's "On the Road" by Performing Songwriter
Magazine. He has performed Off Broadway in several plays and co-wrote
and starred in an original play titled "Discoverosis". Another road
adventure turned into his award winning Rockumentary film
VW Bus Tour: Americana Bohemia (2009)
(2009). Matt made his feature film debut opposite
Mary Kate Schellhardt in
Saturday Scout Club (2016)
where he wrote and performed the soundtrack as well. He has also
released two studio albums and his music can be found on Pandora.
