Kimberly Hawks
Kimberly M. Hawks (born February 23, 1984) is an actress, singer, model
and businesswoman.She first became known as a singer in the United
States Air Force, but modeling gave her the big break. Hawks had a
Gastric Bypass in 2008. Hawks is the First person to become a
recognized model after weight loss surgery. In 2009 Kimberly was
featured on MTV TrueLife "I'm Uncomfortable With My New Body." This
documentary brought awareness to individuals with identity problems
after dramatic weight loss and touched the hearts of many. Early life
Kimberly Hawks was born in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Pamela
Luce, a nurse, and Charles Adkins, who passed away when Hawks was nine
years old in a fatal bus accident. Hawks relocated to Truth or
Consequences, New Mexico shortly after the death of her father. Hawks
is the oldest of four children, David Adkins, Charlie Adkins and Leah
Plajee. Hawks Mother, Pamela was later remarried to Edward Jones and
after seven years divorced due to the abusive relationship that had
formed between the step father and Hawks. Pamela is now married to
Richard Luce. Hawks now has a wonderful relationship with her mother
and step father. Hawks joined the Air Force in 2003. She served as a
Services Troup and later took a special duty assignment in Air Force
Entertainment. Hawks finished her military career as a Fitness
Specialist at Fairchild Air Force Base. Career Modeling Kimberly first
began modeling in the in 2005 after she returned home from "Tops in
Blue", the premier expeditionary entertainment unit in the United
States Air Force. Not long after Hawks showed interest in the modeling
industry she was wed to Jeremy Hawks and became pregnant for their
first son Jeremy Grant Hawks (born April 19,2006).She became pregnant
again for their second little boy later that year and gave birth to
Justin Grant Hawks(born August 15, 2007). Hawks suffered from a two
difficult pregnancies and gained over one hundred pounds. After month
of hard work she could not loose the weigh and decided on Weight Loss
Surgery in March of 2008. Six Months after Hawks Gastric Bypass she
once again launched herself into the modeling industry. Within Hawks'
first week local Talent agencies were so entranced by her presence on
the runway and her ability to create beautiful images that she was
signed right away. Hawks was also signed as the Spokes model for the
weight loss practice that did her surgery, Laparoscopic associates, San
Francisco. Hawks has since worked in numerous fashion shows and modeled
for clients such as Tiffany and Co., Macy's and Journey. Hawks was also
modeled for a Season Finale of America's Next Top Model set to air
later this year. Hawks continues to advocate healthy weight loss and
fitness. She regularly speaks at support groups, seminars and
conventions about the benefit of weight loss and how fitness is
important to overall health after weight loss surgery. Theater into
television and film Hawks began acting in High School. In August 2008
Hawks landed her first major lead role as Anna Leanowens in the Waimea
Theater production of " The King and I". Hawks quickly realized that
acting was her main desire." It (acting) gives me a chance to escape
and be someone else for a while." Her television career began In
January of 2009. After weight loss surgery Hawks' went through
emotional hardship due to all the physical changes. She was cast in the
MTV True Life Production of "I'm Uncomfortable in My New Body" , in
which she played lead character telling her story of how weigh loss
surgery changed her life, challenged her relationships, and eventually
how she came to overcome the hardship. After airing on May 2,2009
Hawks' has done numerous TV commercials and radio commercials for local
and national businesses. Hawks continues to audition for roles and is
building a great resume. The sky is the limit for this talented young
actress. Hawks will be seen on television on The CW Television Network
show America's Next Top Model as a Runway Model for the season Finale
(2009). In addition, Hawks is staring as Marilyn Monroe in the Murder
Mystery Dinner Show in Kailua-Kona Hawaii, a 50's era dinner show where
the audience gets to piece together the clues to catch a violent
killer(2009). Personal life Hawks in the Proud mother of Two beautiful
baby boys. Jeremy G. Hawks( age 3) and Justin D. Hawks( age 2) She was
married to Jeremy Durrell Hawks on October 12, 2005 in San Antonio
Texas. Jeremy also served in the United States Air Force as a Explosive
Ordnance Technician (EOD) and now works for the Department of Defense,
TSA as the Kailua-Kona Bomb Appraisal Officer.
