Gino Torres

Gino Torres (sometimes credited as Giancarlo Torres or Gian Carlo Torres) is an award-winning songwriter, musical arranger, and vocal arranger based in Manila, Philippines. He grew up in Quezon City and is the youngest child of former 1950s LVN Pictures star, Agnes Ravel . Gino is an alumnus of the Ateneo de Manila University.
A three-time Awit Awards nominee, Gino was also the Grand Prize Winner and Landbank's Choice Song Awardee in the 1st TOFARM Songwriting Competition (2017), the First Runner-Up winner in the 2nd Bombo Music Festival (BMF 2019), a three-time USA Songwriting Competition Top Ten Finalist (2009, 2014, 2015) and Honorable Mention Winner (2014), an International Songwriting Competition Top Ten Finalist (ISC 2017), a Catholic Mass Media Awards nominee (2020), one of sixteen Pinoy Dream Academy Songwriting Competition winners (2006), a Song of the Year Honorable Mention awardee (2012), and a Grand Finalist in two prestigious Philippine songwriting competitions, the Metropolitan Popular Music Festival (METROPOP 2003) and Himig Handog (2001), where his song, FREE, became ABS-CBN network's first summer station ID song (2002).
Gino has done mainstream and non-mainstream projects locally and internationally and has worked for major record labels, TV, social media, radio, corporations, government and non-government organizations, religious organizations, theatre, ad agencies, schools, and independent productions.
