It's a wonderful life ... if you've got dolla dolla bills!
Comedian Owen Weber created a brilliant parody trailer that mashes up the holiday classic "It's a Wonderful Life" with Martin Scorsese's "Wolf of Wall Street."
But "Wolf of Bedford Falls" puts a clever twist on the story -- rather than being the selfless guy who's given up everything for his town, Bedford Falls, George Bailey is re-imagined as a money-grubbing opportunist. His bank goes broke after he loses $8,000 playing the stock market, and he goes to work for Potter to make piles of cold, hard cash.
It's a fantastic cut job, and makes us wish we could see this version of "It's a Wonderful Life.

Recently it was revealed that a sequel to It's a Wonderful Life was in the works, and while the news stoked the ire of most people (word is that, due to rights issues, the film is being blocked by Paramount Pictures), it did inspire this spectacular video from Owen Weber. Mixing in Frank Capra's feel good classic with the ultra stylised first trailer for The Wolf of Wall Street, Martin Scorsese's tale of greed and corruption, words can't describe how great this is. Watch for yourself below. The Wolf of Wall Street is released on Christmas Day in the U.S., and reaches our shores on the 17th of January 2014.

It’s pretty obvious that The Wolf of Wall Street going to become a Christmas classic. Leonardo DiCaprio is continuing his streak as a wealthy asshole, Martin Scorsese is no doubt imbuing the story of a corrupt stock broker with all kinds of life lessons and I’m pretty sure Jonah Hill is playing The Grinch. All the ingredients are there. So it make sense that Owen Weber has created a percussive trailer mash-up featuring the forthcoming Scorsese joint and another seasonal favorite (that some people are trying to foolishly remake). It’s a radical, high energy collision that proves George Bailey had some grit to him. I’m just glad he didn’t go with It’s a Wonderful Wall Street as the title. And here’s the Wolf of Wall Street trailer for comparison. ‘Tis the season.

Recutting trailers for classic films has been a tradition for numerous years now, often proving how a savvy marketing team can completely alter the perception of a film, such as making a classic horror film look like a heartwarming family tale. The latest entry to this collection now comes from comedian and actor Owen Weber. Weber has taken the Frank Capra christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life, and recut it to the style of the first trailer for Martin Scorsese’s upcoming The Wolf of Wall Street. The result, titled “The Wolf of Bedford Falls”, can be seen below.

With the recent buzz of a sequel to It's a Wonderful Life (which will be blocked by Paramount Pictures) and the forthcoming Christmas release of Martin Scorsese's new film The Wolf of Wall Street (which will supposedly clock in at 2 hours and 59 minutes), there's no better time for someone to craft a mash-up trailer using the Kanye West track "Black Skinhead" from the first trailer for the Leonardo DiCaprio film and a colorized version of the Frank Capra classic. It's called The Wolf of Bedford Falls, and it's just perfect for this time of the year. It makes us want to see a version of The Wolf of Wall Street with Jimmy Stewart. Here's the trailer mash-up The Wolf of Bedford Falls, sent to us by video creator Owen Weber: A young New York stockbroker named Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud...

There has been a lot of talk surrounding Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf Of Wall Street"—whether or not it would be finished in time, rumors of Nc-17 material and of course, the overall length of the movie, etc. Last we heard, it was going clock in at 2 hours 45 minutes, but word from abroad suggests that the runtime has been padded further. The folks over at Allocine are reporting that according to France distributor Metropolitan Filmexport, "The Wolf Of Wall Street" now clocks in at 2 hour and 59 minutes (which we can only surmise was done to get under a 3 hour-limit). This would make the movie Scorsese's longest feature to date, besting the 2 hour and 50 minute "The Aviator" and 2 hour and 58 minute "Casino." It also means you will probably want to make sure you go to the bathroom before you settle in on Christmas Day. Meanwhile, until we wait Scorsese's opus...
