Alec Baldwin will play President-elect Donald Trump once again, returning to Saturday Night Live this weekend after skipping the first post-election episode, the actor confirmed to Vanity Fair.
“I’m going to do it again this weekend, but not all that often. There was a lot of things online that was said about it — like why didn’t I do it after the election?” he said. “I was booked that weekend. Not even other jobs; we have things to do. It crashes every weekend.”

Alec Baldwin's amazing impression of Donald Trump during this season of Saturday Night Live has been meet with (nearly) universal acclaim. However, despite his unflattering portrayal of the Republican presidential candidate, Baldwin says the impression doesn't come from a place of hate.
On Tuesday, the Golden Globe winner sat down for an interview on Wnyc’s The Brian Lehrer Show, where he opened up about how he formed his now-famous caricature of the 70-year-old business mogul.
"I don’t hate Trump, but he’s not somebody I admire," Baldwin said, after explaining how most impressions come from an appreciation for the person being mimicked. "So it was more difficult."

“It is only when you open your veins and bleed onto the page a little that you establish contact with your reader. If you do not believe in the characters or the story you are doing at that moment with all your mind, strength, and will, if you don’t feel joy and excitement while writing it, then you’re wasting good white paper, even if it sells, because there are other ways in which a writer can bring in the rent money besides writing bad or phony stories.” – Paul Gallico

President Barak Obama is a visionary. Which is great. It’s important for the President of the United States to be a visionary, to be able to inspire. That’s how Barak Obama became President in 2008.
But once elected, it’s not enough to be a visionary. You need to know how to put that vision into effect.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy knew how to do that. Ronald Wilson Reagan knew how to do that.
President Barak Obama – and I can’t believe I’m saying this – does not.
The Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, is in real trouble. The website is a disaster – where is Oracle when we need her? – and those who have been able to sign up are finding that their...

When circumstances forced me to liquidate my collection, my only question was how. Ebay: too much trouble. Throwing them out: too sad. An epic stoop sale that I could film? Just right.
