- He won the jury and audience award in the first 24hr Challenge at Marbella International Film Festival 2008. He named his team after his dog's name Frankenstein.
- Robert Rodriguez selected two of his short films to be broadcasted in his cable TV channel El Rey Network as part of The People's Network Showcase: Horror Edition 2016. Making him the only Mexican filmmaker to participate.
- His short film "Why I do it?" was the only Mexican Short Film to be selected by Academy Award Nominee Jehane Noujaim to be part of the international multimedia event Pangea Day. She said: It's a beautiful and heartfelt piece, authentically expressing powerful emotion in a short period of time.
- He is a former student from the same film school, ESCAC (Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia), as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's Director: J.A. Bayona.
