In the roughest double elimination yet on "The X Factor," Paige Thomas and Vino Alan were sent packing as the top 8 was narrowed down to a top 6.
Thomas (who received the week's lowest amount of votes overall) had delivered a personal best performance with a sexy spin on Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up," while Alan (who faced 13-year-old Diamond White in a survival sing-off) stumbled on Hall & Oates' version of "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" but remained an early favorite who had consistently placed near the top of the show's weekly rankings.
"I wouldn't say I was expecting it," Thomas revealed after the show. "But at this point in the competition, because everybody's so good, you can never really expect anything. I don't want to say I was Ok, because obviously I wanted to win, but at the same time I'm somewhat relaxed because now I can really just be myself.
