Dave Redemann
- Actor
- Producer
Though Dave Redemann has lived in an assortment of places as far flung
as London, Houston, and Washington D.C., he has always considered his
birthplace of Milwaukee his home. A childhood media drone who sat
slack-jawed in front of the TV when Batman was on, there was never any
question that Redemann would make his career in the field of public
communication.
After earning his Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Redemann worked in various capacities at commercial radio stations around the country. Eventually, however, he returned home to Milwaukee and shifted his career focus to advertising.
The advertising field, Redemann found, allowed him to apply his talent for persuasive writing, conceptual thinking, and project management to his longtime interests in art, film, and design. Thus he embarked on a phase that included stints at some of Milwaukee's most influential advertising agencies, including Cramer Krasselt and Bader Rutter.
During that time, Redemann honed his skills as a writer and a broadcast producer, crafting an impressive body of work for an assortment of clients including Master Lock, Roche Diagnostics, Bombardier ATVs, Allen-Edmonds Shoes, the United Performing Arts Fund, Case IH, Summerfest, Horizon Fitness Equipment, and the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. Over the years, he has earned an assortment of awards for his ad work, including several Addys, a Telly, and a few Bells.
He set off on his own in 2004, forming Redemann Creative, an agency that develops breakthrough messaging for the full range of media, including film, television and radio commercials, print advertising, web sites, interactive pieces, outdoor boards, direct mail programs, long-form videos, press releases, and collateral materials.
Recently, Redemann realized a longtime goal when he joined with filmmaker Brad Pruitt to produce Mark My Words. This remarkably inspiring feature film documents 24 hours in the lives of some of the nation's most talented poets. It explores the power of the spoken word and its ability to transform people and community. Community is important to Redemann, who generously gives his time to various social, artistic, and children's causes.
