Peter M. Crowley is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in data networking and digital distribution, known for his pioneering work in technology and new business development within the entertainment industry. Crowley began his career as a network manager at UCSF in the 1990s, where he represented the University of California on the Internet 2 committee, helping to design the standards for what would become the public internet. He also built the first high-speed Sonet digital network in conjunction with Pacific Bell to connect the UC campuses.
As the dot-com era evolved, Crowley joined FORE Systems, a forerunner in ATM technology, where he was project manager for designing digital networks at major entertainment studios such as DreamWorks, Warner Bros., and Universal. He also led the first commercial endeavor with a NASA satellite for live video streaming and downloads.
Crowley has made significant contributions to the media industry, achieving milestones such as producing the first live wireless internet broadcast and the first all-digital broadcast music concert. During his time with the San Francisco 49ers, he was one of the first to stream live 4K video to end users.
An avid music lover, Crowley has produced and directed over 100 live concerts for broadcast, internet, and DVD. He has also ventured into filmmaking, creating four feature film documentaries, showcasing his versatility and passion for the entertainment industry.
