Bárbara Andrez

Bárbara Andrez was born in 1983 and at the age of 12 she made her first
foray into the theater, joining an amateur company. In 2001 she decided
to continue their higher studies in theater at Esmae (School of Music
and Performing Arts) in Oporto. She finished her degree in Theatre
Studies with an average of 16 points. During this period she worked
with several theatre and contemporary dance names such as José
Carretas, Joana Providência, Carlos Pessoa, Nikolauz Holz, André Braga,
Lee Beagley, Pablo Rodriguez, John Briton, Pazo Candido, Antonio
Carallo, Fernando Mora Ramos and many others. She also participated in
numerous projects like: short movies, performances, drama, comedy,
clown, dance theater,). In 2005 she started her career as an
interpreter in "Hamelin" a stage reading by Anthony Durães in the
National Theatre São João in Oporto. She also taught Drama in schools
and worked as an assistant director and a theatrical plays coordinator.
She entered in numerous plays as an actress like: "Xarxa 25" by La Fura
del Baus, "Sarabande" from Titanick Theatre, "Weisman and Cara
Vermelha" directed by Fernando Mora Ramos, "Noites Brancas" by Erva
Daninha, "Peepshow nos Alpes "directed by Luis Varela. In 2010, she
embarked on a performance "Estendal" made specfic for Imaginarius in
Santa Maria de Feira, and in the same year she debuts "TV.Com", a show
conceived, directed and interpreted by herself. Still in 2010 she
started her masters degree in Contemporary Artistic Creation at the
University of Aveiro and in 2011 she worked as an interpreter in
"10X10" by Estaca Zero Teatro, as well as "Utópolis / Silêncio / Cena
10" by Teatro do Frio.
