Chris Fowles began making stop motion films when he was just 10 years
old with his best friend, on a camcorder they won in a competition.
This passion for storytelling grew as he got older and began making
short films with his friends. After deciding he wanted to be a
producer/director he decided he needed an outlet to show his films, but
there was no such film festival for young film-makers, so he applied
for and won funding to hold a festival near his home town in St Albans.
The festival was judged by professionals from organizations such as BAFTA and hundreds attended to watch the 10 awards be presented. Fowles' short film Shutdown, took home several awards, including Best Director and Best Picture. This sparked off a series of short films with his production company Impact Entertainment, including critically acclaimed Eclipsed which premiered at the St Albans arts festival in front of over 1000 people.
Fowles also produced and directed his short The Finish Line in 2010 as his first film with his production company, Impact Entertainment.
