Born in Sydney, Australia, Geri graduated with a Bachelor of Music from
the University of Western Sydney (UWS) in 2001 after which she
immediately began her career working at some of Australia's best Music
and Sound Post Production companies, Trackdown and then Supersonic,
where she developed her skills as a composer, sound designer and audio
engineer. In 2008, she graduated with a Masters in Screen Composition
from The Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), and
established Studio Ripple, a partnership of composers, sound designers
and engineers who collaborate on all things visual media related.
Geri has composed music for film, television, documentary, advertising, online mediums and gaming, and has multiple credits as orchestrator and in the music department on some of the biggest feature films of recent years. Whilst film music remains Geri's passion she also pursues commissions for concert music and has completed several works for voice and piano, receiving performances nationally. With a passion for all forms of storytelling, Geri is known as having a perfectionist approach to creating the "right sound" so her music perfectly complements the visual style of the project.
