- When beautiful Ilya Zorn burst upon the national scene at the age of twenty-two, it was reported that she spoke seven languages, never lived more than six months consecutively in any one country, was a dramatic star in South America, a social favorite In London and a fiction writer In Portugal. She was also said to be a licensed pilot who loved to hunt big game from airplanes.
Her story "Secret Lives", which the movie Ladies Love Danger (1935) was based on, was written when she was only 23 and may have been intended as a starring vehicle for herself. For what ever reason this did not happen and she soon disappeared from the headlines.
Ilya Zorn was the great grand-daughter of Wisconsin's first millionaire, Hercules Louis Dousman (1800-1868).- IMDb Mini Biography By: John F. Barlow
