- Despite being a key contributor to Australia's Invincibles tour of England in 1948, Miller was frequently in conflict with Sir Don Bradman, who although like Miller held a positive view on attacking cricket wasn't very keen on competitiveness of opponents. Several believe Bradman was also instrumental in ensuring Miller never got his deserved captaincy.
