- An avid martial artist and promoter with The American Karate Association! Briefly studied with Carlson Gracie Jr., in Chicago, Illinois.
- Dion wrote and produced a short film titled "The Concert" which was officially selected to be screened at the 16th Annual Black Harvest International Festival of Film and Video at the Gene Siskel Film Center, August 6-September 2, 2010.
- "Overcome" and "Number 37" both written/produced by Dion were screened at the 2011 Black Harvest International Film and Video Festival in Chicago, Illinois. "Number 37" was screened at the 2011 Twin City Black Film Festival in Minneapolis, Minnesota and The Hollywood Black Film Festival in Hollywood, California.
- Dion is a Life Member of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity.
- Dion was a volunteer mentor with the "We Care" Role Model Program in Chicago.
- Dion is a Fellow of Diverse Voices in Docs (DVID) organized by Kartemquin Films and the Community Film Workshop of Chicago.
- Dion is CEO/Founder of Totally Free Productions and Chi-Town Multicultural Film Festival.
