- Paul Elgin is a California born and raised business entrepreneur and aspiring fashion industry icon with an uncompromisable vision. His executive management and business acumen roots back to his 11 year tenure in the auto sales industry. However, as a former aspiring hip-hop artist, Paul has always enjoyed a love for fashion, music, and entertainment. In the summer of 2003, Paul, along with a few close associates, founded HTentertainment, a Bay Area-based entertainment & nightlife website portal. The website quickly gained exposure locally, which allowed Paul to expound on his other goals and visions within the industry.
In the spring of 2006, Paul founded Catch 22 Clothing, an urban-sophisticated lifestyle brand catering to the mature, conservative & sophisticated individual. Through aggressive radio, online, and print promotions, Catch 22 Clothing quickly gained the attention of consumers nationwide. In the summer of 2006, Catch 22 Clothing ads were already being broadcast on 3 major Bay Area radio outlets, as well as the Catch 22 eyewear product being worn and displayed in music videos of artists such as Mista F.A.B and Haji Springer.
In the fall of 2006, Catch 22 Clothing received its first major national exposure, when New York R&B recording artists Deuce wore Catch 22 product live on nationally televised episode of "Wildin' Out Wednesdays" on BET. In addition, the company received its first taste of worldwide exposure when Paul signed a licensing deal with Definitive Studios, a San Francisco based video game development firm, which launched a music-editing platform called Traxxpad with Catch 22 branding within the game. That game is now sold worldwide in major retail chains and gaming outlets. At that point, product sales soared, grabbing the attention of independent boutique stores, and major retail chains nationwide.
In the fall of 2007, Catch 22 had product placement in the September issue of Don Diva Magazine (p. 55), where again R&B recording artists Deuce, along with a host of New York City fashion models, are shown wearing Catch 22 gear. The product line has not officially launched yet, but when they do in the winter 07 season, Catch 22 Clothing will definitely change the game.
Along with his CEO responsibilities with HTentertainment and Catch 22 Clothing, Paul also enjoys graphic design and photography. All photography in both companies are done by Paul himself and his right-hand man, Mo' Better. Graphic design has opened up avenues as well for the entrepreneur, as he has designed product ads for actress Zoe Saldana's Arasmaci jewelry line, as well as her Myspace page and official website (zoesaldana.com), up-and-coming hip-hop lyricist Black Moz, up-and -coming R&B artist J. Styles, and a host of others, which include fashion models and musicians.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
