- Record producer and owner of Del-Fi Records (1958-74) of Los Angeles, CA, which recorded such 1950s and 1960s rock stars as Ritchie Valens and Chris Montez.

- When he was 14 he was a guest clarinetist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. At 17 he was leading his first band. After serving in the Army Air Corps in WWII, he had an 18-piece orchestra. He eventually had his own TV variety show on Channel 2 in Los Angeles in the early 1950s.
