John W. McLaughlin was born in Millinocket, Maine. A graduate and company member of New York's prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts, John is best known for his work inspiring, producing, and co-starring in the semi-autobiographical film, Meth Head (2013), distributed by Random Media. He then went on to produce and co-star in the horror satire, Crazy Bitches (2014), distributed by Gravitas Ventures. John now works primarily as a real estate investor with an occasional appearance in productions that friends and associates ask him to be part of. In his spare time, he's working on developing a pilot pitch for an television series entitled Johnny Angel.
John was Judith Light's estate manager and personal assistant for several years.
John's personal journey through methamphetamine addiction as a young man in Hollywood was the inspiration for the film "Meth Head", starring Lukas Haas.
John's first job in entertainment was as an assistant in the writers office of the short-lived NBC series "Titans" for Spelling Entertainment.
