Jorge Zambrano(I)

Jorge Zambrano is an American-Venezuelan animator born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1970.
He finished his studies at the Central University of Venezuela, obtaining the degree of Bachelor of Arts, Film specialization in 1999. In the year 1989 he participated in the animation contest "Animathon" sponsored by the Canadian embassy in Venezuela, where he met his mentor Felix Nakamura, who would accompany during much of his career in Venezuela. In this period of time he organize several animation courses and produce many animated tv commercials.
In 1999 he was hired by Radio Caracas Television RCTV as Press Chief of Design. There he renews and develops the image of the entire news called "El Observador" (The observer) wider in audience of Venezuela, and creates together with Teo Castro "The Observer Junior" that integrated live action with animated cartoons. When Jorge Zambrano left RCTV, started again its activity in the production company M & R Independent Producers, were produce many TV ads, and TV programs.
Following the steps of his mentor, Jorge Zambrano develop various animated material for the Museum of children in Caracas and made 6 animated videos based on the successful book by Fabiana Malacarne "Good Idea! Biotechnology for the youngest", these videos have had a successful broadcasts in different media in Venezuela, Argentina and Spain. In 2005, he found his company MRZ Productions in Florida USA, As member of Asifa-Hollywood (the biggest International Animated Film Association in the world), he continue with his activity as a traditional animator and 3D. His work in the States include clients like Univision, Jakk Pacifics, Mega TV, etc.
Now, he is directing and producing his animated film "Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, la historia de un milagro" about the life of this well known Venezuelan doctor.
