We were waiting for Rafael Nadal's U.S. Open press conference on Sunday after our favorite Majorcan muscleman took down rival Spaniard Nicolas Almagro in the third round, when Fernando Gonzalez stepped into the room to discuss his victory over the Czech Tomas Berdych. We didn't know all that much about Gonzalez, but were instantly charmed by the striking South American. When asked how he felt about the possibility of playing Nadal, Gonzalez said, "It's only a chance, because I have really tough match the next round. I don't want to think about that yet." Well, he's certainly thinking about it now that he's set to take center stage against Nadal at Arthur Ashe stadium tonight, having beat Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsong to advance to the quarterfinal.
