- Born to a Catholic mother and Protestant father in Kilkenny City, Ireland, Colleen grew up as a Gaelgoir, Irish dancer, Irish debating champion and member of the Young Irish Film Makers. After obtaining two honors law degrees, she emigrated to America to practice as a litigation attorney on Wall Street. Colleen returned to acting part-time when called to be an extra in "The Departed". Her love of method acting and tireless research into characters helped her snare every role she auditioned for since, except her call back for "The Nanny Diaries". Colleen retired from film in 2008 when she married her second husband. She is coming out of retirement to work on "Mindscapes", currently in pre-production in Avon, Connecticut.
