Thomas Digard is a seasoned Film Director, Animation Director, and Art Director. He trained at the Estienne School of Arts, Duperré School of Applied Arts, and Les Gobelins Animation School in Paris.
He began his career in Spain working on the animated feature film "El Cid: The Legend" as an animator.
From 2001 to 2009, he served as Head of Studio and Animation Director at the largest animation studio in Eastern Europe at the time: Borisfen-Lutece in Ukraine, where he managed the production of a dozen TV series and 3 animated feature films.
He is especially known for his work as Animation Director on the series Corneil & Bernie (2003, 52x13', Millimages, BBC, France 3), the 2nd season of the series "Lascars" (2007, 30x1', Canal+), and the animated feature film "Lascars" (2009, 90', Round Da Way/Millimages/Bac Films).
Thomas then worked as an Outsourcing Director and Animation Director in China, South Korea, the Philippines, and Japan for Millimages.
In 2011, he joined Ankama Animation in Paris, co-directing the development of the animated feature film "Dofus - Book 1: Julith" and directing its pilot. Thomas also developed and directed trailers for the TV series "Muffin Jack" and "Abraca" during his time at Ankama.
He moved to Gaumont Animation in 2015. As Director and Art Director he developed multiple animated shows, then co-created and directed the series "Bionic Max" (2021, 52x13', Gaumont/Gulli/M6).
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2022, Thomas has worked at Blur Studio directing the cinematic "Valorant Episode 6: Revelation" for Riot Games, and DreamWorks Animation Studios, as Storytelling, Visual Development and Animation Specialist on "The Bad Guys 2".
