Born in a car in Kuwait to a Filipina mother and an Irish father, Tara Macken became a globetrotter, growing up in Kuwait, Brunei, and The Philippines and later working internationally in the film industry. Living all over the world sparked Tara's adventurous spirit, which led to a career in action storytelling. Tara is a stuntwoman, fight coordinator, and action director with over 15 years of industry experience on shows like Captain America New World Order, The Batman, Thor: Love and Thunder, Men In Black International, and The Mother, to name a few. Tara has been nominated multiple times and won a Screen Actors Guild Award for her contribution to a stunt ensemble. She also won a Best Action Director award for the short film Fellowship in the 2019 horror international festival. Tara was also a fight coordinator for the recently wrapped Amazon Prime episodic Mr. And Mrs. Smith, and directed action sequences involving weapons, special effects, and hand-to-hand combat. As a director, Tara recently wrapped a test short using Artificial Intelligence powered by Lightcraft Technology in New York City. Working in the AI arena has given Tara additional inspiration to learn from and evolve with new technologies to aid in virtual production and filmmaking.
