1 year ago, Syfy embarked on the bold quest to update its image with a new name and new image. Instead of being the sci-fi network, dedicated to science fiction, it became Syfy - the network that would dare the public to "Imagine Greater." For a network, changing one's image is usually a lofty goal. You can change a name and a slogan all you want, but the core programming has to change in order to fit the new paradigm. Syfy accomplished this goal, rising to become one of the top five cable networks. Now, celebrating the 1 year anniversary of its image change, Syfy has released this Syfy House of Imagination video directed and produced by Brett Foraker. Back in 2009, when SyFy rebranded itself from Scifi, the network had commissed a group to create what was known as the "House of Imagination" video. It was essentially a promo for its shows and contained cast members from the various SyFy series.
As it turns out, that branding video went on to win a lot of awards:
House of Imagination recently received 14 awards Promax/BDA Awards, including being named the # 1 promotion of the year by the Special Awards Committee. It was also nominated in two categories at Aicp, while also being recognized by the Art Directors Awards and the Creativity Awards.
Now, the creative team behind that original video has reunited to create "House of Imagination 2", which we have for you to enjoy below:
