Christian Carroll was born in Oklahoma City but moved to Philadelphia when he was 9 and lived there until he finished high school. He attended Occidental College in Los Angeles earning a BA in Film Production and Media Studies. He is multi-racial and of Chinese, Chinese-Malaysian, Native American (Mississippi Choctaw), and white descent. He lives in Brooklyn and works professionally as an editorial and fashion photographer, director, and cinematographer. He has directed two feature films "Out of Breath" and "Suicide or Lulu and Me in a World Made for Two".
Composes music under the moniker "Diogenes". Composed and played all instruments on the original soundtrack of "Suicide or Lulu and Me in a World Made for Two".
Auditioned and won a city wide competition to attend the Howard Fine Acting Studio in Hollywood for 2 years on scholarship.
Is also a professional photographer.
Is of mixed race: his mother is of Chinese and Chinese Malaysian decent and his father was of Caucasian and Mississippi Choctaw decent.
Is part Mississippi Choctaw and a member of the Choctaw Nation.
